LG NANO85

You could have gotten a 55" LG Nano85 that has 4K 120hz for 2 HDMI 2.1 ports. Last time I looked the 49" was sold out.

If the price is right, the Sony x90j will look significantly better, and I would lean towards that unless you are trying to play competitively, but at that rate, I would get a gamin monitor or spend up to a C1 or C2. Note: I would not recommend the Nano75-80 because they are no better than LG's most standard LED TVs. Nano85 has 120hz, but it looks bad, never use the local dimming on the nano85, if you grab it, only use it for the gamer features.

Looks Great and specs are great on paper but not quite delivering the picture and performance as anticipated. Can't seem to get the picture to be sharp and bright.....all seems muddy and not crisp as the nano tech promises to deliver.

TL;DR: If you want an LG for the wide viewing angles or colorful images, step down to an UP series or step up to the Nano90 or an OLED. Otherwise, look for a VA panel with FALD, such as the Sony x90j or TCL 5 or 6 series. If you buy the Nano85, do not touch the local dimming feature.

Websites render text better than word/excel, but ok enough for it not to bother me unless I'm really looking to find a fault. I upgraded from the 49" LG Nano85 and while text was much clearer, gaming is significantly better on the OLED. I also used the Nano85 more as a monitor when connected to my work laptop which only has onboard Intel and HDMI 1.4.

LG Nano85 comes to mind. If this is going to be a main TV that you will watch movies and TV on but you also plan to game on a lot, I think it's a good pick.
