 As most reviews have said, you've got your integrated cable lock in there which is really nice and then I like that the strap can be adjusted on either side so that if your tray is really close to the roof, you can adjust it so these aren't hitting it. Another thing is I actually take mine completely off when my bike's not on there. So super low profile design. So like I said, I'm very happy with it

 I'm happy with it. And one thing to note that Kuat doesn't list on their website, which is actually a plus, but these bolts up here, if you can see, that's five sided so it's not a standard Allen which means your everyday thief driving by is not going to have the tool to take your tray. So it's not locked to your rack but it's not easily stealable either. So I'm going to keep my tray on here while I'm at school, while I'm in the mall, whatever and I feel confident in it

 Alright guys, I'm going to give you a partial review of my Kuat Trio rack or tray and it's just a half review because I'm just going to talk about mounting a 20mm bike on there. Before I bought the tray, I couldn't find any reviews or anybody mentioning how well the 20mm axles mount on there, how stable it is or whatever, so kind of took a leap of faith when I purchased it but got to tell you I couldn't be happier. So the way it mounts and you can get most of that information off the website but this little black insert right here acts as your hub and then your fork kind of slides over top and then you insert your own axle, the one that belongs to the fork, tighten it down and you're set. However, something to note is that on mine, not sure if they're all like this or not, but the sensor isn't the same width as your hub, which means if I pull my axle out, my forks aren't going to stay on there nicely, just like keeping your wheel on there

 So super low profile design. So like I said, I'm very happy with it. Very stable and I definitely recommend this. Thanks for watching, guys

20mm Mountain Bike on Küat Trio roof rack

Just not as hassle-free as I had hoped.  Fine for through-axle bikes, a pain for skewer-wheel bikes.

Beware of rear tie-down strap!!!

 Now I always put a folded towel or other pad under the fork to protect my roof if it slips again -- which will probably happen because it takes a combination of strength and flexibility to mount a bike above your head with only one set of hands.  Kuat, if you're reading, this rack is really close to being great. Please solve the problem of a fork slipping past the axle housing.

 A couple of aspects of the Trio that Kuat could improve: - I would like it if Kuat offered a locking skewer for the Trio. Yes, I know the Trio has an integrated cable lock on the rear, but a locking skewer would add extra security. In addition, a locking skewer is much less likely to pop open accidentally when driving. (A reviewer here on Amazon had a bike come out of a skewer mount

 If the rack is slid towards the rear, the tailgate will hit it. So keep the Trio forward before you tighten its bolts. (You'll see what I mean when you go to mount the rack.) To be extra sure the tailgate won't hit the rack, have the tailgate open while you're mounting the Trio rack onto the crossbars

Be careful ... Standard fat bike hub adapters are not made by Kuat!

 Integrated lock is nice - probably not enough to protect bike long term, but for quick dash into gas station or fast food, it's ok.
