**Kensington Orbit Fusion -** This was the one I was thinking would suit me the best from the beginning of my investigation into trackballs. There is not much info about it due to it being so new, and with tons of mixed reviews about scratchy scroll rings, etc I was thinking I would end up returning it. Honestly, I love it. Comfortable, felt ZERO switchover forearm pain using this thing compared to the others.

I just got my Kensington Orbit Fusion in the mail and am really liking it. I already feel I've acclimated to it, having only used it for a couple hours. What I like about it most is the hand and finger positions that seem natural. I'll illustrate with my hand.

In 2019, I bought the Logitech MX Ergo trackball and struggled with it. I returned it the last day I could, wanting to give it a best effort try. I went back to a mouse, but eventually bought a Kensington Orbit. That's when I learned I like finger balls WAY BETTER than thumb balls.

any recommended trackballs for gaming?

The Kensington Expert/Slimblade never seemed to work for gaming because of the lack of well-positioned buttons but that could be my own bias. The new Kensington Orbit Fusion seems to be their take on the Elecom but with a scroll ring. If you like scroll rings rather than wheels but otherwise like Elecom then this is your device. You can't get as many buttons on a trackball as a mouse and actually have them useful but you have to have a certain amount for gaming functionality.

So I tried a trackball in the past few weeks - tried both a Kensington orbit fusion and an expert. I didn't have any pre existing issues like RSI or carpal tunnel, but I anyway thought I'd try it, just because I was curious - and with the work from home situation I thought it couldn't hurt to explore some ergonomic options. My previous mouse isn't quite the stereotypical ergonomic design, so I thought there would be room for improvement surely.
