Another vote for the Streamliner. While I loved the looks of the Dot, just loved the feel and sound of the Gretsch more. I lucked out in finding a mint 2622 for less than $300. I'm still amazed at its sound and quality for that price

COLOR IS NOT AS SOLD... The finish has a couple of slight flaws where the neck meets the body. Expected that not to be the case. More disappointing is the actual color. It's unmistakably "Blue" when the Amazon detail show "Grey". Gunmetal Grey, to be precise. Grey is Not blue... even...

Not so much. I have a set of TV Jones Classics in my Gretsch Streamliner, and it's probably the most expressive guitar I have played clean. However, they are low-output enough to not be able to get anything really crunchy in terms of distortion unless I crank the gain so high noise is a factor.

I'm a new guitar player and still do not feel that I am worthy to own this guitar. My Mom however is a long time player and as soon as she played this model, she had me order one for her. The sound is amazing and strings and setup are good to go out of the box

I was in the same boat. I picked up a Gretsch Streamliner and am super happy with it. Super versatile guitar. The quality jump from those Squiers to a $550 Gretsch is pretty huge.
