Well first and foremost, don't get your hopes too high. Gunshows just aren't what they used to be. As far as a good CC, Glock 26, Sig P365, and S&W Shield seem to be the ones that people tend to recommend, but I'd suggest trying them before you buy one. As far as a steal on an SKS, I just don't know if those exist anymore, but if you find one, Yugo and Chinese SKs are pretty renowned.

Despite how small this firearm is, it actually fits in my hand like it was custom made for me, and has a surprisingly crisp, light trigger. It is single action only, so I can slip it into my pocket to carry when I don’t feel like carrying my Glock 26. I carry it with the hammer down, safety off. Some carry with the hammer cocked and safety on, but I feel like it’s easier to accidentally switch the safety off than it is to accidentally cock the hammer.

Hate the safety triggers on all Glocks and recoil on the 26 and 43 killed me. Berettas safety features seem annoying so id pass on those as well. Leaning towards all steel vs polymer.

Funny thing is Canada does sell glock 26 models just like this because anything with a barrel length under 4.25” is the devil.

I would personally not go with a Glock 26 today. If you want a smaller gun than the 19, today you can get ten rounds in a much slimmer and easier to carry package with the Sig P365. The Glock 43 is just as slim as the P365, but I believe it's a six-rounder.
