Beretta hands down. I’d go with a M9A1 or better yet a 92X, M9A3 or M9A4 since the original 92FS and M9 do not have a rail for a pistol light, a light is necessary for home defense. You get 2x the capacity of a 1911 and less felt recoil plus cheaper ammo so you can practice more. 17 and 18 round flush fit mags from Beretta or MecGar are cheap and highly reliable.

The very top of the clip is made of rather soft plastic. After just 4 rounds it is showing signs of damage. My son loves the gun but I am afraid this will get worse very quickly. Army should’ve adopted the M9A3. Failures to extract lock the pistol up. Like, no more movement in the slide locked up. Sometimes after chambering a round, the slide refuses to cycle, so you’ll spend 30 minutes at a clearing barrel attempting to clear a weapon that doesn’t want to move.

Cool gun but, I took the barrel off to clean it and when I tried putting it back on one of the pieces inside broke and the gun didn’t function well any more I returned it and got a new one. I love PSA/Anderson for this reason. You can make some pretty nice clones. I love the M9A3. I’ve got a 96A1 that’s pretty much an M9A3 in .40. Thanks for your service, man

Don't get a full auto stupid. So is the blowback option. If I did it all over again I would get a regular non blowback CO2 or break barrel. Also right after I fired it on fully auto and almost fell apart on me so make sure to lubricate everything and don't use full auto

I bought a m9a3 a while back and really like it. Nearly brand new, I got it for $750. Great gun great mounting option for light or laser and comes with a threaded barrel if you have or ever get a can. All around can't go wrong.

Looks good, very authentic operation, low power even compared to daisy entry level pump guns. Accuracy is non existent.

Sitting on 10 years working experience with Berettas and 1911 platforms, I would suggest the Beretta. I absolutely used to hate them due to double stack thiccness (my hands are chonksters) but the m9A3 definitely changed my outlook on that. When it comes down to it go to a store and hold both.
