Germanium Fuzz Face

For those listed musicians -- I think you are best off looking at the EQD Hoof (or their more expansive Hoof Reaper), Germanium Fuzz Face (or the mini version), or a Big Muff Deluxe (crazy versatile). Those neo-blues guys like Gary Clark, Black Keys, and of course Hendrix are all into those more open, raunchy sounding fuzzes.

sound wise it works well on its own in front of an amp that already has some distortion...if you have the wrong pedals with it, the sound will suffer big time...carefully select what pedals you want to use with it, everything makes a difference...the BIG PROBLEM is...i've ordered 2 different ones so...

Benson Germanium Fuzz - this is a new pedal and I’m not a big fuzz guy so I didn’t know what to expect. I’ve been stacking it with the Looking Glass and reverb for default and everything sounds nice and thick. Other pedals provide more nasty fuzz sounds but I’ve come to approach this currently as a second OD gain stage with mild fuzziness to thicken my sound out.

This pedal is very simple and I think you can only get one kind of sound out of it. It's not good for dark guitars but it sounds good with hot pickups or single coils.

Personally with your selection of pedals I'd go for Fuzz Face > tuner > sp comp > morning glory > ep boost > chorus > carbon copy > slö
