Gerber Auto 06 Automatic Knife

Heard good things about the Gerber 06 Auto. They’re big and beefy, issued to armed forces,USA made, and the blade steel is S30V.

This is an excellent quality knife, albeit it's not the one I thought it was. I was looking for the auto-open drop-point Gerber I was issued overseas on deployment. This is the civilian model and it's still built like a tank; lighter plastic handle leaves, and it came sharp enough to shave with.

It's a great and solid knife, very sharp, the F.A.S.T. works as advertised. I'm not sure yet about durability because I have not put the knife to the test in extreme conditions but seems it could have better handles in my opinion.

I also have the fully auto version, and the DMF serrated edge tanto (31-000583). Ironically, the DMF serrated edge tanto is my favorite and the least expensive of the 3.
