When you are hyped for new innovative garmin watches, but instead they come with a downgraded watch for yoga influencers...
Meanwhile I'm over here exasperated because I just bought the Vivoactive 4s two weeks ago after a month of research on the smallest, least obtrusive watch that looks more like a "real" watch, and less like sports equipment/smart watch, and they've come out with this just now. After using my Fitbit One for years after it was discontinued, it gave up the ghost this fall and I finally reconciled myself to a wristband version.

I like it
The only reason this watch is getting a 3 star review is because of the battery life. I charged it overnight, have worn it all day and it’s already 32% down. Otherwise I really like it.

Rock Solid and Attractive . . .
I'm a watch dinosaur - I like automatic movements and the occasional quartz watch. Have avoided the "Smart Watch" fad up til now. But I've been wearing a Garmin VivoSmart fitness band with a regular watch and was looking for something that could carry off both purposes at the same time . . . without...

nice watch, weak battery life, music sync didnt work, too complicated/clunky interface, 4s too small
I got this as an upgrade from my Fitbit Charge 3 which I liked just fine except for the screen which I had trouble reading in bright sunlight. I also really liked the idea of not bringing my phone with me on runs, and this Garmin Vivoactive 4s had all the features needed to let me do that - music, g...

Garmin Vivoactive 4 Smartwatch In-Depth Review
Overall the Vivoactive 4 is a solid upgrade over the Vivoactive 3, if for no other reason than the darn second button. Plus of course the music in all models and the other health bits. But really, that button. It might sound silly to those unfamiliar with sports watches, but the user interface is gr...

The alternatives to leaving Wear Os
I seldom initiated texts/calls from the watch, and when taking a call always took on phone as want proper microphone/speaker - so can still do that. GPay - use Garmin Pay with Curve which provides a digital card - works just as well - haven't come across any issues yet (UK). Voice command for setting timers, opening apps etc - was pretty much broken at the end there, but use hot keys on Garmin to get around this and its just as quick, if not quicker.

Garmin vívoactive 4/4S & Venu GPS Smartwatches Announced!
Ionic Apple watch, galaxy watch, active type of market, but, to sum things up, the vivoactive four seems like a nice solid update from the b-baka 3 and the vivoactive 3 music. The two different size options are nice to see, as well as the addition of pretty much all the features that we saw come to the floor noir 245.

Great for what I was looking for
Edit: I've had and used the watch for over a year now. Only noticeable degradation has been with the bluetooth connectivity. Used to have no problems with music skipping or sounding choppy. In the last 6 months, its gotten quite a bit worse with multiple skips (~500ms) per song. No issues with music...

Works as described
I had covid/3wk intubation and decided a sport watch capable monitoring o2 would be easier to keep up with vs spirometer. My first purchase was much cheaper $60 watch. Everything was off including distance walked and other sensor readings. It failed in consistency. This watch gets it right. Steps wa...
