Solid, quality watch
I got this watch as an upgrade from an original Vivoactive that was losing battery life. As such, battery life was a big selling point for me and this watch delivers. First 2 weeks I did two 5 mile runs and it still was at 30% by the end of those 2 weeks. I also like that it's round, and I didn't th...

I gave my old Apple watch to my friend, and was in a market for a new fitness/smart watch. A lot of people recommended Garmin, and in the end I purchased a Garmin Forerunner 55 from REI, and I am highly satisfied.

Perfect for pacing a run
Great fitness watch. Reason I bought this watch is so I can have a pacer for my runs and this watch does just that. Set your desired distance, goal time, and it will tell you if your moving too slow or too fast.

pressing buttons) he's awake, not asleep as my Forerunner 55 thinks. I wake up and check my watch for time several times during the night and my watch doesn't know I'm awake - insane oversight. 2. If you are counting the user's steps it is safe to assume he's awake, I don't think moonwalkers would sue you over this.

Which Garmin is best?
I ended up getting the Garmin Forerunner 55 and it does exactly what I wanna see. The battery life's so long I sometimes forget that it needs to be charged (it lasts at least 10 days).

Garmin Forerunner 945 LTE available now! Thoughts?
Over 2 years since the 945 was released and this is the best Garmin could do? Very disappointed. I am also confused by the Forerunner 55 release.

Using apple watch to record runs
I bought a Garmin forerunner 55 to try and it is much better for running stats and gps accuracy.
great running watch!
I have owned the watch now for approximately 2 weeks and have had a great experience so far. The data screens for activities have great info and switching between screens is super easy. The watch is not touchscreen and you navigate the screeens via the buttons on the side of the watch. I like the si...
