This is my review of the Fluance RT-80 Classic High Fidelity Vinyl Turntable. This is an entry level offering from Fluance.

A Fluance RT80 is the same price as this Victrola and also much better. I have a lot of experience with these kind of players, so not just parroting internet wisdom here.

Otherwise, even with an early-bird crowdfunded discount, the price is reaching the same territory as many popular entry-level tables (E.g., Fluance RT80/81) and I find it difficult to recommend this kit over some of those. As for the design - my biggest criticism is the thin acrylic platter. The amount of warp and wobble is too high. It also lacks the mass needed for acceptable wow and flutter.

The sound, when it all works well, is great (for a LP player at this price point and my old ears). The problem is in its cartridge. If bluetooth is unnecessary and you want a similar price range, the Fluance RT80 is a solid table that will sound better than the LP60x. All that being said, if I were you, I'd shell out an extra 80£ for an LP120x. Imo without going considerably more expensive it's the best bang for your buck. (I'm only familiar with Fluance, AT and Technics so it's possible there are better options out there).
