I was expecting a ceramic grinder mechanism, especially given the cost. Aesthetically it was okay, but the photo looked better than it did in real life. I sent it back and ordered a different grinder. This might be fine for some, but not a good enough replacement for our old pepper grinder.

Nice solid construction... does it's job well... only complaint is the design... it looks cool, but, it's really not practical to grip and grind... you end up grabbing the top edge which feels uncomfortable. You could grab the neck, but, your hand better be about 3 inches across....
