 Is the X27 worth $55+ dollars? No I don't believe so, even with the lifetime warranty. If Fiskars uses a higher quality steel in the axe head I will revisit my opinion on value. Do I regret buying the X27 axe? Well for the cost and the blatant metallurgy issue, I wouldn't buy it again.

 What garners the four stars is that the Fiskars is rugged, and I don't imagine breaking the head off for some time, if ever.
