Weighing only 45 grams, the Finalmouse Starlight-12 Small is the lightest mouse we've tested. Its body has honeycomb-shaped cutouts, an embossed filigree design, and two side buttons on the left. It feels exceptionally well-built and has a low-profile, symmetrical shape well-suited for smaller hands using any grip type. The top shell is magnesium alloy and is very lightweight and sturdy. However, the underside is made of a type of plastic to allow the wireless signal to escape.

You can connect it wired or wirelessly with its receiver. Performance-wise, its CPI range isn't as wide as most other high-end gaming mice, but it will likely be sufficient unless you prefer playing with very high sensitivity. It also has a standard polling rate of 1000Hz, a very low lift-off distance, and good click latency. Its mouse feet glide very smoothly on mousepads or directly on desks, and its paracord-like charging cable is lightweight and flexible if ever you need to use it while charging.

Unfortunately, this is a small mouse that isn't suitable for larger hand sizes. However, there's a larger-sized version of this mouse, the Finalmouse Starlight-12 Medium. Also, there isn't any software for customization, there are only four default CPI settings, and the charging cable uses an older Micro-USB connection rather than the newer USB-C. Furthermore, because Finalmouse only releases its mice in drops, at this moment, you can only purchase this mouse through third-party resellers, and it can be very expensive. Nevertheless, this is an exceptional gaming mouse and the lightest mouse we've tested.

 What is so offensive to you about this design? Honoring zeus, the king of the gods. Obviously beauty is preference, but it just seems like so many people hate this design and i don't know i don't share that same passionate hatred. I actually think the dpi button and the scroll wheel engraving in particular, look very cool, um and yeah. It'S really naughty like the paint job, isn't that people were screenshotting, my video and like memeing it, but i i really don't see what's about it, but yeah think whatever you want to think about the paint job

 I think the magnesium had to be coated, so it doesn't oxidize um, it's just a very grippy. Almost sticky coating notice how i'm not saying glossy because it doesn't feel glossy, but it has sort of like the grippiness of a glossy coating if that makes sense. But it's never felt slippery for me and i can honestly get like a really tight grip style on it and i just my hands, feel stuck in place no issues with sweating whatsoever, which i'm really happy about. I was like kind of just scared, because it's a new material wondered if my hands would sweat profusely, but they did not

 Can i even joke about that? Unbiased and impartial review begins now, okay, so this is the starlight 12.. This is a 43 gram mouse made out of a magnesium alloy. You might remember magnesium from the periodic table

 I guess it's most comparable to this, like custom painted mouse has like clear coat on it. It sort of feels like that. I think the magnesium had to be coated, so it doesn't oxidize um, it's just a very grippy. The Best Lightweight Mouse - Spring 2022

 This obviously because I don't have a Starlight 12 and the size works better for me in terms of like long-term play sessions and comfort, which is something that the Starlight 12 doesn't really do for me as much because of the size.. So once they make a bigger version, I'm pretty sure that'll fix that., But until they do and until they're in-stock and really available, my main gaming mouse is still going to be the G Pro Superlight from Logitech

. The symmetrical shape the really nice buttons, the crispy clicks, the nice and easy-to-press side buttons that, even though they are slightly smaller, I would like to see them a little bit bigger and a larger version of the mouse., But I feel like if the mouse is bigger. It kind of solves that problem anyways

, The biggest problem that I have with this mouse, I'm going to only talk about it once ... is just the size

So, this one is

the medium-sized.
It is quite a bit smaller

than like the Razer Viper
and the G Pro Superlight.

but it is also 
noticeably lighter as well.

This mouse on my scale
I've gotten about 49g.

And obviously that's a bit heavier
than, you know,

like what's stated
on the website and whatnot.

other larger mice start
to hit the 49g target

and also manage to be wireless,
because the difference

they are wireless
but they are all between

60g and 80g which is 
noticeably heavier.

So after using the Starlight 12
for over a week

and then trying to swap back
to the Superlight

The Superlight is definitely
noticeably heavier.

And honestly speaking,
I would like to see Logitech

And I really won't have much
need for this mouse

The biggest problem
that I have with this mouse,

to come out with a Starlight L,
just a larger version

So they'll have a small,
a medium, and a large.

We really need that large.
And they can make it

Maybe use thinner magnesium.
I don't know.

that would be insan...
and wireless, that would be insane.

Because 50g large mice
we've already seen,

like with the wired version
of the Pulsar XLITE.

That mouse is only 50g
with the cable obviously.
