Get as much headroom as you can afford. The Rumble 500 is the best bang for your buck in that price range.

I have a rumble 25 (8'' speaker) for practicing and rumble 500 (2x10'' speaker) for playing with people. I know everyone will say that 8" is garbage, but in my bedroom it sounds better than 500W on low volume.

It’s a good amp. Has some good options like the overdrive. Sounds good, especially for personal use and practice. A little too quiet to be used within a band setting. Trying to squeeze all the power out of it will lead to some clipping issues. It’s great for what it’s intended for, pretty good deal.

This is a nice little amp, buuuuuuut….it’s so quiet! I wasn’t expecting to rattle the tires off the roof, but I definitely expected more oomph. For reference, I use it with my Fender Music Master.
