I played only through a Fender Rumble 100 amp. The P-bass sounded... okay at best. The Sterling and Hofner both have their very unique sounds that I like. The controls on the amp didn't really help me get a clean sound that I wanted, and overall the basses were sounding just too muddy or losing some part of the sound that I wanted but couldn't get.

A fender Rumble is a great amp. And if you can get the 100, then it’ll last you through bedroom practice, garage jams, small shows, and as an on-stage monitor for when you get big shows!

It’s a good amp. Has some good options like the overdrive. Sounds good, especially for personal use and practice. A little too quiet to be used within a band setting. Trying to squeeze all the power out of it will lead to some clipping issues. It’s great for what it’s intended for, pretty good deal.
