Has an aux in, phones out, and effects loop. I can rattle every window in the house with it and have to dial it back jamming with a guitarist. It's a good all around amp and cab, I've had mine for 3 or 4 years and got it as a package from Sweetwater on Ebay for cheap.

What are some kick ass bass amps?

 Here is the XLR line output, which is very cool, you can use it as a direct box, instead of plugging the cable into the guy's direct box, you take the cable, which is cool, you will send a signal to the table super clean, right? And down here, these two connectors, here is the effect loop, which bass players usually use very little, right? Who uses this more is the guitarist, there is the return here and the send. Many will never use this here, because it is for you to connect an external effect in the head, you know? But it's a delay, for example, it only works with delay and reverb. The reverb you can put it in front of a normal pedal that will work just fine. So this one, who uses it most are the guitarists

 Suddenly you are in your house, in a place where you can not play loud, you activate it here, the volume is low, but it works with all integrity, with the equalizer, the volume and everything else, just decrease the power to 15 dB, this is very cool. Here is the peak light, when it is distorting, it lights up, suddenly you are playing very loud, the volume is very loud, it lights up here together with the limiter light that I explained before, you turn it down here, input. Here is his handle, very nice, it is very light, his design is super vintage, I remember an old radio, I think it's very cool, but here it is very new, this one here. I am looking to purchase a bass amplifier that I can use in small to medium sized venues. As I'm a beginner who is learning about bass amplifiers I hoped I could ask for advice on what I should buy?

I've always thought I should purchase the TC Electronic BQ500 along with some sort of 2 by 10 cabinet. The BQ500 seems to be good value for the price. It's advertised as a 500 watt amp but after further research it seems that it is not truly 500 watts RMS( from doing some reading it really has RMS of 353W@4 ohms and 175-200W@8 ohms).  But it seemed like good value and I was told it would be loud enough to withstand a drummer and another guitarist.

However I've recently come across the Fender Rumble 500 combo amp which seems to be well regarded and if I'm not mistaken does possess a wattage of 500 watt RMS. The Rumble would cost me 670 Euros whereas the BQ500 &amp; cabinet would cost approx 500 to 550 Euros.

I'm just wondering what advantage would there be for me to choose a bass head with a cabinet such as the BQ500 over a combo amp such as the Rumble 500? I've also discovered that there is a Rumble 500 bass head and I'm wondering why would someone choose the bass head version of the Rumble 500 over the combo version? What advantage does it actually have? I've tried looking up this stuff online but I can't seem to get a clear answer.

Any helpful information kindly provided would be much appreciated.

Question about what amp I should buy for playing small to medium venues

Super light and provides the great Ampeg tone that I can no longer live without. Great for bringing it to jam sessions or small gigs because of its portability. Puts out a great amount of power for such a little unit. Very easy to get a good tone in the mix with a band with this bass head

 15 years. But I picked up this Micro VR from Ampeg because I have a big, you know, SVT tube head, 8 by 10 and a 410. But I've got a couple of gigs next week. I got a bunch of guitar gigs, but I've got a couple of bass gigs as well in the next two weeks where it just doesn't make sense to bring the giant rig

Alright so I got the specs pulled up, this is what we've got going on here. This is the features of the amp, this is all the specs and everything. I like just pulling this up so I can read it off to you because I can't remember all this off the top of my head

 And these amps just so you know the price because I'm sure you wonder what they cost, these amps are only 299 bucks so it's well worth it to do it. Now this amp, I will tell you, it's stupid light. When it came in I wasn't even sure there was an amp in the box, I was like did they send me an empty box? Because it's crazy light, I mean I can literally pick it up just like that. That's how light that amp is, it's super super light

Fender rumble 100w 1X12 bass amp review!!

 It has a bit of mud and hollowness that I don't typically like to hear. However, the price is outstanding, and I have no problem at all carrying it around. It's light as a feather. For those 2 reason, I'm happy with it

 I've been able to dial in a bit better tone by putting an eq/booster pedal in front of it. If the tone sounded more like the traditional Fender sound (like an old Bassman), I'd give it 5 stars. But unfortunately, it just sounds like a generic bass combo.

Of course they're designed to sound great with upgraded eminent speakers and a new overdrive channel, but they're also very portable, coming in much lighter than the previous Rumble versions. In fact the 100 watt here is only 22 pounds

 The three buttons next to the gain knob are bright which adds some high frequencies to your tone, contour which cuts the mid frequencies from your tone, and the vintage which adds some rich deep tones as well as some compression. So we'll start with everything flat and none of the additional tone shaping features engaged. Now we'll hear what it sounds like when we engage the bright switch. The bright feature also comes in handy if you're using a pick or doing some slapping then you need to cut through a little bit more

 So now I'll remove the bright switch and I'll add the contour switch. Now I'll take off the contour and add the vintage. The overdrive channel is very versatile going from just a little grit all the way up to a pretty heavy overdrive. The drive knob will control the amount of distortion that comes through on the channel and then the level knob is going to blend it with your clean so that you can get either all the way dirty or have a little bit of both coming through
