 There's a longer radius underfoot and shorter radius in the tip and the tail. It averages out for a 21 meter side cut radius. That helps with improved carving performance and responsiveness. Faction also used in the construction process a thicker base and top sheet materials and that makes the ski heavier but it improves durability quite a bit

 And also it's got that built-in skin notch so that the skins, the tail clips of the skins won't migrate off when you're going up skin track. The lightweight Caruba Core construction of this also has a full carbon weave so that saves on weight. So this ski weighs 3,480 grams or 7.67 pounds and that again is for the 180 centimeter length

 Hey everyone, it's Brad here with BackcountrySkiingCanada.com and today we're going to talk about the Faction

 So the Agent series of skis by Faction was introduced last year, the 3.0 and 4.0 versions

 were introduced this year and as I mentioned before this is the 3.0 version.

 This line of skis is heavily influenced by the Faction Dictator.

 Both ski lines share the same dimensions so this ski, the 3.0, is 34 in the tip, 106 underfoot

 So it shares the same dimensions and also the same sidecut radius, 21 meters.

 So the Faction Dictator heavily influenced this Agent 3.0 ski.

 This is a much lighter ski, 720 grams lighter for the pair at the 180 centimeter length

 It's made for the backcountry but it can also ski the resort as well.

 It's got generous tip rocker as you can see there up front, softer tips than tails but

 Underfoot here we have a titanal mounting plate embedded in the ski construction and

 four, I think you can see that four millimeters of camber underfoot.

 So in the tails we've got a little bit less early rise as you can see and also we've got

 So this rubberized bumper here will help with durability when you get the ski and put it

 down on pavement or rocks and things like that.

 And also it's got that built-in skin notch so that the skins, the tail clips of the skins

Last year I won a contest with Faction and was sent two pairs of skis. I opted for the CT 3.0 and the Agent 3.0 and the idea was to have a resort/slack country ski and a full backcountry touring ski

 I’ve had them for 2.5 seasons and rode ~50 days or so on them. I loved them but miss a more cambered ski that can hold strong in crud and varied conditions. Also, the lack of camber just made me work really hard

I am an western NY skier. 6'3", 210lb. I have been skiing since I was 5 with a hiatus during college (I'm a good skier). The past 2 years I have been getting back into it and my interest is being drawn towards touring. I intend to head to the Adirondacks or VT to get some adventures in this year. That said, 80% of my laps will be in bounds. I have always been a playful skier, popping off of everything, and spent many years hiking park. Now I'm liking charging the groomers and finding new lines in the woods.

Current skis are Nordica Steadfast (circa 2016) in a 174. They are fun, but I find that they aren't responsive until I give them a ton of power or speed. I know I could tour in these, but at that length I don't expect to have a great time in anything deep. I have a pair of Shift bindings that are waiting for a home. My intent is to pick up a new pair of skis and either put the shifts on them or swap this shifts to the Nordicas.

Currently I am looking at Volkl M6, Nordica Enforcer 100 or Bent Chetler 100. 

What else do I need to add to my list?
