I’ll second the fixed blade. I carry an ESEE Candiru in my day pack along with a small fire steel, bic liter and a SAK. Between these, I’ve got a knife for small bushcraft type work and a tool/knife for non hard use situations and 2 ways of making fire fairly quickly.

I like almost everything that Esee have released but Candiru isn't one of them. I like the blade shape and length but the handle is just too short. I got my esee candiru with coyote brown scales in the mail today, however the scales were missing. I would like a refund or to be sent the scales free of charge.

The tip is sharp, but the edge is not very sharp at all. It’s very hard to pull out of the case it takes a lot of force.

Great knife, pretty quick on shipping. My only complaint is that the logo on the knife they advertised is not the same as the logo on the knife I received. I like the skull ESEE logo over the basic logo. Minor gripe, but this is something that should have been mentioned with the purchase.
