Civivi Baklash vs ESEE Candiru Fixed Blade Neck

Perhaps I just received a bad example of what is seemingly a great knife otherwise, but sadly I think it'll see less time in my pocket from here on out.

I carry an ESEE Candiru in my day pack along with a small fire steel, bic liter and a SAK. Between these, I’ve got a knife for small bushcraft type work and a tool/knife for non hard use situations and 2 ways of making fire fairly quickly. The Candiru is small but very tough, easy to sharpen and with some skill and practice, you can do just about everything you would need to do in a survival situation.

only I would recommend the G-10 handles for better grip than this particular Baklash model.

The handles aren’t orange, they’re brown. The blade is not black, it’s green. Not even close to description

But I have butter knives that are sharper than this blade!! I bought two, and both are equally dull and difficult to sharpen. That's a deal killer for me. I'm disappointed.

I would return it but I'm past my 30 day window. It seems to be a good knife but if it doesn't hold an edge it's useless

The belt clip is excellent, and will not come off without a degree of force. I am not going to use that three letter anagram, but you know what I'm talking about when I say that this is the perfect knife to keep on you at all times.

Only materials could improve, but you would have to pay way more if it was made from a higher grade steel. Can't really beat it for the cost. Great balance, opens with ease, precision manufacturing. Looks and functions like a $100+ knife
