Ergobaby claims that the extra support will help to prevent slouching and back strain while breastfeeding.
This pillow has a more purpose-specific design and may not be as versatile as others. The qualities that make it an excellent nursing pillow prevent it from being useful in other capacities. For example, it is not soft enough to be a comfortable backrest for mom, and it is a bit too structured to use as a support pillow for baby. There is no belt strap on the Natural Curve, and some moms found it challenging to keep the pillow positioned properly without it. However, we found very few flaws with this pillow overall. If you are okay with purchasing a single-function product and would like something to help support good posture, the Ergobaby is a good choice.

No Boppy Here!  This is very firm, not soft and cushy like those nursing pillows I've used over the years to which I've been accustomed. I'm not exactly a fan of this product because it's firmer than any pillow of any sort I've ever used for babies, kids or adults. It may be ergonomically correct but it's just too firm.

Over the last seven years I've tried a variety of nursing pillows (Boppy, Mombo, My Brest Friend). The design of this Ergo pillow is a bit different from what I've used in the past.  It is quite firm, and the interior slopes down at a angle to help properly position baby without causing unnecessary slumping on the part of the mother.  I like that it's ergonomic and helps ensure a better latch, etc

  The price is also a little on the steep side (over $70 at the time this is written) when compared to the competition. I'm not sure the added features justify the higher price point.

 The angle of the curve also allows for good positioning which is important. The cover is just as easy to take on and off for cleaning and it has a lining that helps prevent liquids from transferring.
