 Today we're going to talk about the Elan Wingman 82 CTI.

 It's part of their all-mountain collection, although at 82 underfoot, in my opinion this

 is really starting to lean towards more of a frontside ski.

 Another really good performance on groomers, can take it off trail too, but at the 82 underfoot

 width, I like to keep this ski on trail personally.

 I think the Wingman 86 TI and CTI, both those skis do a little bit better off-piste, but

 this thing is super fun, super responsive, super quick edge-to-edge on-piste.

 Woodcore, we get the classic reinforcement on the inside edge in this ski.

 We also get carbon rods, and we also get a single, they call it mono TI laminate, so

 wood, carbon, metal, lots of stuff going on in here.

 You get a right and left ski, so you get more rocker along the outside edge of the ski,

 more camber on the inside edge of the ski.

 If you compare these to, say, a ski in the Elan line, like the Ripstick 88, you'll see

 on this that you get full extended side cut through the tips and tails.

 There's no early taper on these skis at all.

 Tons of technology in this ski, really, really advanced construction, so to speak, and all

 that adds up to a ski that has really, really good edge grip on groomers.

 It's super quick edge-to-edge, especially for a ski that's 82 underfoot.

 There are obviously narrower, more carving-focused or more firm snow-focused skis out there,

 but at 82 underfoot, this thing's pretty darn quick edge-to-edge.

 I think it's just got a really, really smooth feel.

 I think you feel it even more in the 82 version than the 86, just because it's a little narrower,

 Basically, a narrower ski is more torsionally stiff than a wider ski and just that much

 Yeah, really, really good ski for a skier that, chances are, you're spending the majority

 of your time on groomers and you should value performance in that application, too.

 That's, in my opinion, the highlight of the Wingman 82 CTI is its groomer application,

 but it's not like you're getting a round 70 underfoot carving ski that's really going

 While you get really good groomer performance on these skis, you can take them off trail

 and you get a little bit more versatility compared to a true consumer race ski or something

 You can read more about them, read feedback from different testers, stuff like that.

 This is just a super fun frontside carver. It's definitely aimed at your skiers that are going to be solid advanced up to expert level skiers that want something that's just going to be smooth and responsive for skiing groomers and just trenching arcs. The thing gets up onto a turn super easy thanks to the Amphibio TAC. Holds all the way through nice and clean, very damp, very predictable and then you get a nice little pop towards that finish of the turn
