After getting sick of dealing with it, I threw it out and and bought an Ecovacs Deebot with auto-cleaning base and obstacle avoidance. I've had the ecovacs for about a week now, and I've decided I'm going to return it, because, while it's way better than the Xiaomi one and does a great job cleaning, it still gets stuck all the damn time, and I can't "set and forget it" while I'm at work, which defeats the entire purpose of having it. The vacuum I think I want is the roborock T7 Pro, but that seems to be only available in china, and it only works with the Mi Home app, which I had to use for the Xiaomi and it was an awful awful app.

Help me choose a robot vaccum
Ecovacs Deebot T8+ (with the bin) is currently on sale at Best Buy for $449.99 from regular $749.99.
I was on the fence for a few days and saw it go on sale which was enough to convince me.

ECOVACS Deebot N8 Pro+ Review
Completely agree with everything you said. I recently bought a Deebot T9+. Lots of noise on here from people saying lots of bad things about the T8/9 but I’ve experienced none of it except for some difficulty with the bin auto emptying (I have a pet - I will try the DIY jack soon) other than that it’s a magnificent robot and the app has been great for me. I’m super happy and have no idea why anyone would pay a premium for Roborocks or Roombas over it.
Are robot vacuum cleaners advanced enough yet?
IMO, the current best robots are the Roborock S7+, Ecovacs Deebot T9, Roomba i7+ (and the nearly identical i8+), Roomba S9+, and Roborock S6 MaxV. Their various nuances and advantages will determine the best fit for your needs.

New Home Owner, need vacuum regiment recommendations/purchase
It will vacuum and mop, empty its dust bin, and clean the mop pad. It won't completely replace a full mop or mopping machine, but given you have new floors, it may be perfect to help keep them that way. You only have to check on it for regular maintenance every couple of days, to a week or so, depending on usage.

Homebridge Robot Vacs
ECOVACS Deebot. It’s great. I can tell Siri to vac a specific room. Setup can be a bit cumbersome, but once you understand that the plug-in uses zero index it’s all good.
Do you trust your robot?
Reading the room and graciously brushing around chair legs and avoiding toys and stuff like that. My Deebot t9+ is brand new and I still like to follow it around. After a while you’ll learn if it has difficulties and how to prevent them.
\- Deebot T9 - 545 Eur. Now the thing is: there's always going to be stuff on the floor. Some stuff will be always there and in the same place, like cables, or the plates from which the cat eats and drinks, but some other will randomly appear, like... more cables, the occasional sock, etc.

I have an ecovacs deebot n8+. Great robot, awful app. A year later and there hasn't been any improments.
What manufacturers are regularly improving their product? I'm considering getting a 2nd.
Help please! Roborock S5 Max, Ecovacs N8+ or Dreame Bot Z10
It looks like a great machine and the T&Cs and Privacy Policy is good too. Can't say the same for the Ecovacs Deebot. Make sure you read the terms and conditions and privacy policy. I would definitely NOT buy it, in fact I don't know how they can have such conditions.
