I definitely agree with much of what you said, I think the Dynastar M-Free 99/108 needs to be mentioned when looking for skis better than the BC100's, they're better in every way imo

The titanal rocket frame is widest underfoot and towards the tail, and the tail is also relatively flat squared off. So you get tons of stability coming out of turns, and they won't release unless you make them. So basically, it's a lighter and somewhat more user friendly version of the Chams. I definitely recommend the M-Pro 99, it's the closest you'll get to the Cham 97.

The Mantra concentrates the metal in a horseshoe shape around the tip and tail of the ski, which contributes to that feeling of precision and really strong edge hold. If you liked the M5, the M6 might be the ski for you. Other comparables that have slightly different feels are the Nordica Enforcer 94, K2 Mindbender 99 Ti, Blizzard Bonafide 97, Salomon Stance 96, J Skis Masterblaster, Dynastar M-Pro 99, Atomic Maverick 95 Ti (much lighter, so quicker and less damp but great edge hold), Armada Declivity 92 Ti (similar to the Maverick).

Mid-fat and fairly soft is my favorite kind of ski for slush. 100ish freestyle ski to slash around on like the K2 Reckoner 102, Line Blend, Dynastar M-Free 99, etc. Spray that slush.

The shop didn't have everything I wanted to try, but they also had stuff I didn't have on my list, namely the Dynastar M-Pro 99, which is what I ended up loving the most, with the Black Ops Sender second. Had I only stuck to my list, I would never have found these. So while I was bummed the shop didn't carry any Blizzard skis, it all worked out.
