while it lasted it worked fine. sometimes difficult to hook the basket back in place. unit died just a the 1-year mark, just stopped working altogether with no indication of a problem. would not purchase again due to unreliability & short warranty in light of the price paid.

I gave it 3 stars overall because you can't deep fry anything thicker than around an inch and a half without flipping it a couple of times. Opening the lid lets oil spray splatter about, which defeats the point of the fancy lid.
