If you absolutely want to spend more money, the Dan Clark Audio Aeon 2 Noire is also very well tuned, but it definitely benefits from more power than a phone or laptop can provide... If you're plugging it into a guitar amp or something, you're probably okay?

The Ether 2s have the best design of any high-end headphones I’ve yet tested (and I’ve had practically all of them on my head, at some point or another). MrSpeakers has achieved a level of comfort and build quality that really speaks to the luxury price of the product.

Dan Clark Audio Ether 2: I was looking at different high-end planars in the $1000-1500 range, and found a pair on eBay. They are super lightweight and comfortable, and look incredible - the spiderweb cup design looks awesome. Klipsch HP-3: I'm not sure how to describe the design language of these - it's definitely inspired by the same mid-century aesthetic that a lot of Klipsch's equipment is, but it almost feels like there's a steampunk or retro-futurism element as well. Either way, between the design language and the gorgeous use of wood, they're beautiful.

It’s expensive as fuck, a $900 closed back headphone, but I have demoed it yesterday and can’t get enough. The tuning, detail retrieval and soundstage is insane.
