You get ALL of the benefits of a prebuilt, but you save money, get better specs and get a MUCH higher quality PC (because prebuilts are pretty universally low-to-trash-tier quality devices). There are exceptions - boutique stuff where they use off-the-shelf components but do cool stuff to it or unique form-factor stuff like the Corsair One (that actually uses decent components). Those are rare though.
