I don't game on consoles but from a pure design perspective I prefer the Xbox.  It looks like they had cooling in mind first and reminds me very much of the Corsair One, a PC with remarkably good cooling despite only having one fan.

 Now when I got this a few weeks ago I tried to kind of build a system with the same specs but then in a Cooler Master NR200P Max instead and that ended up being 4600 euros for all components plus the Windows 11 Pro. So that was only about 10 percent of a price premium for Corsair building it in an even smaller case and covering all of it under one warranty which I didn't think it was such a bad deal. But the GPU prices have dropped a lot since then and right now I can get the exact same configuration for under 4 000 euros while Corsair's prices haven't changed at all. So now we're looking at about 20 to 25 percent price premium which is just very very hard to justify

 It is about 38 centimeters high, just under 20 centimeters deep and about 16 centimeters wide and that makes it a bit smaller than the NZXT H1 and a lot smaller than the Phanteks Evolve Shift, which are the two compact ITX towers that come to mind if you want to build something like this for yourself. It is also a lot more compact than horizontal cases like the Cooler Master NR200P for example and I would not recommend that you put this case horizontally because it needs to pull air from both sides and then push it up top. However, here you do kind of benefit from having a much smaller footprint on your desk. Now the build quality is excellent as well with solid metal panels all around and design-wise everything is kept so clean

 Now that drop in power consumption doesn't cost you as much performance wise as you would think and I really don't think it will make that much of a difference in those real world applications for most people. But my problem here is that a much cheaper i7 would make so much more sense in this situation and that option is just not being offered at all. Instead you pay more to get an i9 and then that i9 cannot get to its full potential. And speaking of the price now this exact configuration is supposed to cost around 5 000 euros here in the EU which is a lot of money

 Now this configuration will cost you around 3150 euros or 3300 if you go for 64 gigabytes of memory and it will offer you pretty much the same performance. And keep in mind I just quickly put this list together I didn't really think about it much so you could easily save even more in the case memory and cooling if you kind of drop the RGB or if you go for a different case. And I'm completely aware that the strongest argument for pre-built PCs is the convenience of just buying something that has already been built but even if you don't want to build a PC yourself you can actually pay a reputable shop to just do it for you and still save a ton. So you really need to kind of ask yourself if you're willing to pay a lot more just to have Corsair build your PC for you in this tiny case and it does depend on the current state of the market as well

But is it Worth Buying? - Corsair One i300 Review

 Temperature: It's gonna run hot, period. I have yet to encounter any thermal throttling and I've put this through some demanding games on ultra settings in 1440p (Ghost Recon, Microsoft Flight Simulator, GTA V. I'm sure it could handle 4k fine as well, but I would be hesitant to do any overclocking. Price: Okay, the most important question that most people (including myself) ask/ed about this: is it worth the price? I bought this while it was on sale from Corsair directly ($3600)

 But Corsair got this one right. It will handle any game you throw at it. I'll break it down by category.  The Case: It feels like a high quality PC

First one was great. This one lasted less than a year.

 If you're dying to get an RTX 3080T, your options are limited, then, and the price of the Corsair One i300 may be more acceptable. Further justifying the high price is the fact that like previous Corsair One gaming PCS, the Corsair One i300 is impressively compact, measuring not much more than the Xbox Series X games console. Using this kind of power and such, a small chassis is extremely impressive, and means this is a great PC for hooking up to a TV, in your lounge. It also looks great on a desk, taking up much less space than a standard desktop PC

 It's not just compact, but solidly built as well, though its small size does mean this is a PC that can be difficult to upgrade and tinker with. Performance wise, however, this is a beast and will handle any modern game at 4K with relative ease. The RTX 3080T is one of the best GPUs in the world, and coupled with a new, 16-core 12th generation, Alder Lake processor from Intel, games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Metro Exodus run brilliantly, even on the highest settings and resolutions. There's also 64GB of fast DDR5 RAM, which again ensures that the PC runs incredibly fast, but to be honest, it's a bit overkill for most gamers

  In closing? Don't get this. For it's price they should have been way more thorough with their cooling solutions. . For this price I'm disappointed beyond words

 Runs games and applications at max settings. The downside, initially is it does NOT have an aggressive fan setting for the RTX 3080 and on testing it was raising up to 96c and pumping out some crazy heat. If you install MSI Afterburner and give it a fairly aggressive fan profile it stays under 75c. It's a great little system, but be warned, do NOT max current games settings unless you run an aggressive fan profile, it will get way, WAY too hot, didn't even notice any throttling

Small, quiet, powerful, cooling is horrible, not worth the money EDITED

 The main exhaust fan at the top is controlled by Corsair's iCue software, which allows Default, Custom and Extreme settings. Default is a quiet mode, where the fan starts at 0 rpm and ramps up, as needed, as coolant temperatures increase. Extreme is the opposite - the fan runs full blast (2000 rpm) all the time. Custom allows a fixed percentage anywhere in between - it's not a curve per se; instead, you can set a fixed percentage anywhere between 0 and 100 percent rpm

This is my second Corsair One, replacing an i160 that served me flawlessly for three years. That machine is still going strong- my daughter now has it - but I decided to upgrade to the newer model. The new i300 is much faster and slightly (and surprisingly) quieter - and all in the same small footprint case.  The build quality is excellent

What may not be readily apparent from the ad photos is that the case is made entirely from aluminum - from the base, to the front and side panels, to the fan grill on top. The only things plastic are the start button on the front and the IO shield on the back

 And the main motivator for me. There are many other PCs with equally fast components. And in a bigger case, with more fans, I'm sure the temperatures would be lower. But I've seen nothing with this performance in a case so small and quiet

 Taking that off, we see this PC's package with closed cell foam, which for a high-end PC like this is a very good idea and makes it safer for future transportation. This is because it can survive more impacts compared to the cheap styrofoam you find in a lot of cases in pre-builds. After pulling this system out, the only other thing I found in the box were the warranty guide, power cable, and wifi antennas. With this system out, I pulled off the outer plastic sleeve, and per the instructions removed the side panel and instapack protecting the internals

 This doesn't have a built in benchmark from what I can tell so I just tested some fast driving through the city and outskirts of the city. I also tested at the highest preset using ray tracing. At 1440p the system put out a 66 FPS average with 1% lows of 39 and at 4k it put out a 44 FPS average with 1% lows of 26. This is a good testament to how hard cyberpunk is to run as the system couldn't even average near 60 FPS at 4k ultra settings

 Finally for the heck of it I decided to test an esports title in the form of Rainbow Six Siege. I tested using the built in benchmark at the highest preset. At 1440p the system put out a ridiculous 385 FPS average with 1% lows of 247. At 4k the system put out a 255 FPS average with 1% lows of 211

 At 4k the system put out a 63 FPS average with 1% lows of 45. Next I tested Cyberpunk 2077. This doesn't have a built in benchmark from what I can tell so I just tested some fast driving through the city and outskirts of the city. I also tested at the highest preset using ray tracing

 Price-wise, this machine is about where I'd expect it to be comparing spec for spec across other similar pre-builds, like the new 12th gen edition of the Origin Genesis or an Alienware Aurora R13, which I've also done a review for, or this really unique CyberPower Creator PC Ultimate Cube and the HP Omen 45L, both of which I'm about to do reviews for. Another popular pre-build is NZXT, but I didn't add that to this list because they have not yet added 12th gen PCs to their inventory. Now, as far as this design goes, I do like this box form factor, but it doesn't quite grab my heart like the Alienware Aurora R13 did. That one's just more my style, I guess

 Right here on our Z690 motherboard, we've got our i7-12 700K processor, liquid cooled with an all-in-one 240 millimeter CPU cooler. And then over here, we have our 32 gigabytes of 4,800 megahertz Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5 RAM. Next to that, we've got our 2.5 gigabit Wi-Fi 6e card with Bluetooth 5

 So do I actually recommend this machine for the price? This computer is on par if not better than the competition. It was pretty stable despite how hard I pushed it. And if you're on a budget, a 3070 GPU with an i5 processor on this machine is still not a bad purchase and still a pretty fast computer.
