Corsair One I300 vs MSI Meg Trident X

I don't game on consoles but from a pure design perspective I prefer the Xbox. It looks like they had cooling in mind first and reminds me very much of the Corsair One, a PC with remarkably good cooling despite only having one fan.

Temperature: It's gonna run hot, period. I have yet to encounter any thermal throttling and I've put this through some demanding games on ultra settings in 1440p (Ghost Recon, Microsoft Flight Simulator, GTA V. I'm sure it could handle 4k fine as well, but I would be hesitant to do any overclocking. So far, I can only give this 2 stars. The unit arrived very fast, packed well and is a really nice looking PC. Upon start-up, everything seemed to be moving very smoothly. I installed some 3D software to test out the graphics card and it was great

This new one, purchased Jan '22 and which cost considerably more, has only been used part time and is already giving a pump failure indication (max system fan speed, left light pipe flashing RED). Haven't opened it up to verify, but peering down the 'chimney' it certainly looks like the 3080 has chroma-colored FANS, not a liquid cooler. Either way, the card is now overheating at 0% GPU usage. We'll see what sort of response comes back from Corsair - I'm hoping everything I've read about their abysmal customer support is wrong

One piece of advice for future buyers to know however is that the computer does get quite loud when pushing the specs to their limits, I ran Black Desert Online uncapped at 320fps on the lowest settings and the pc began to mimic a jet taking off a runway. A simple change in fan curve could probably fix the issue but the pc definitely gets hot with all the tech crammed inside of it so I personally won't be changing the fan speeds anytime soon. The overall performace is definitely worth the money and my only gripes were the thermals as I mentioned.

The main exhaust fan at the top is controlled by Corsair's iCue software, which allows Default, Custom and Extreme settings. Default is a quiet mode, where the fan starts at 0 rpm and ramps up, as needed, as coolant temperatures increase. Extreme is the opposite - the fan runs full blast (2000 rpm) all the time. Custom allows a fixed percentage anywhere in between - it's not a curve per se; instead, you can set a fixed percentage anywhere between 0 and 100 percent rpm
