COROS APEX GPS Watch Review - A Trail and Ultra Runners Perspective - Compared to Garmin 945

Okay, so let's wrap this up. What do I personally think about the Coros Apex? I think for the money, this thing is truly hard to beat.

What are your favorite watches that have reliable gps, long battery life, and aren't super expensive? It's been quite a few years since I bought a new, more serious running watch and I just don't know where to start, even with all the reviews and guides out there. What are your suggestions?

COROS Apex if you want a navigation function

COROS Pace 2 if you want everything but.

Both cheap, amazing battery life, simple and easy. Far better than equivalently priced Garmin etc.

Actual color is not like pictured

I haven’t set this up to even use it yet because I’m unhappy with the color. The item pictured shows a deep purple color which is what I hoped for. However, it is much lighter and even pinker than it shows in the picture. I might be sending it back for a different color.

Top watches for trail running?

COROS Apex! It’s perfect. Cheap, has simple navigation, insane battery (by far the best for the money and feature set). Everything you need and nothing you don’t. I’d highly recommend.

GPS WATCH

Had the coros apex for a month now ,great as a gps tracker. But used it in the pool for laps ,and the lap counter is not even close to being right, along with the meter swim not right. Will keep using it to see if it gets better.

I have a COROS Apex and feel like it is as accurate as any watch I’ve had. I mostly pay attention to pace, HR, and elevation gain, so it has more features than I need. The accuracy is nice, though.

Somewhat Complicated

I can't comment too much on the watch as I only used it for two days. It was not that intuitive...which is necessary for a Mac addict like myself. I switched to the Pace2 and it was much easier with which to get going.
