Colt 20" AR with an M203 and my Colt 9mm SBR. Finding upper parts for both was a pain in the butt, but it was worth it.

Can I get some advice on consolidating calibers?

Honestly, I would keep the AR-15 primarily for ammo resupply - 223 and 5.56 are easily available - and it can be used to hunt medium game. Assuming you have ammo for it currently, I would keep it as a backup. Alternatively, if you keep the AR for defense, you could get the 308 in a bolt action lowering the acquisition costs enough that the shotgun sale would probably cover a lot of it.

Pick up an AR-15 and get the 22LR conversion kit to use when you don't need the knockdown power of the larger round.

The ar-15 has been developed and upgraded for decades. This is like the golden age of ars. You can build your own ar that is exactly what you want and waaay nicer for less than a new mcx.

Order of firearms for prepping?

Get a .410 instead. I would do the AR-15 in .300blk as you have supersonic loads approaching .308 and subsonic rounds which are devastating at close range. Shotguns are a great tool. Semi-autos soak up recoil better but don’t do well with low brass or breaching rounds.

I own a lot of shotguns, but don't like to hunt with them. The M1 carbine covers much of the same niche of the shotgun while being a lot hander. It's not a practical choice though, and would probably need to be sent out to be reworked when it wears out. AR-15 isn't the most practical for uses other than self defense.

Decided to stick with my 10/22 for SHTF

Another good option (in the US) would be to get a regular AR-15 in .223, and buy a CMMG 22 Conversion Kit. You can use the same rifle to shoot both calibers simply by swapping out the bolt carrier group and loading a different magazine.
