Canon 5D MkIII Replacement help!

The 5D mark III is still an amazing camera with a really nice sensor even if it’s now 9 years old. Definitely a solid base for a beginner to start on!

I like the Canon Powershot family. They cover from basic to fairly advanced. You should be able to find something in that product family that suits your needs.

Not great for youtube

As a full time youtuber I hoped this would be an upgrade over my android galaxy. Unfortunately, the video quality from my phone was better. Unfortunately my return window has expired so I'm stuck with this, and I would not recommend this camera for youtubers

Yes, something like the G7 X Mark III is what you want for a premium point & shoot that fits in a pants pocket. Its closest competition is Sony's RX100 line and Panasonic's LX100 line.

Controls and screen are small.

Quality is excellent. Since I'm older, have troubles seeing controls, screen. Got the Canon SL3 REBEL, MUCH EASIER TO USE, REAL VIEWFINDER, LIGHTWEIGHT DSLR.
