Canon PIXMA MX490

I make stickers and labels for a local company. I use an older Canon Pixma inkjet...it prints very crisp images. Generic ink refills from Amazon. PhotoPaperDirect for sticker paper.

Canon Pixma or Epson Ecotank are the two most common ones I’ve seen used and recommended. Each line has a range of models based on price and need.

I personally have an Epson Ecotank.

Purchased to print from phone and laptop wirelessly. Not totally intuitive but works reasonably well. The envelope position took a bit of trial and error.

I have and like the Canon Pixma printers, currently using a G6020 which uses ink tanks instead of expensive print head/ink cartridges.

I wasted my money on this. I could never get it to work right. It went from printing very small in the middle of the page to normal letter and everything was slanted and I couldn't read half the documents. Then it just didn't work. A message kept popping on the screen and nothing on the website told...

The Canon Pixma all the way. You can refill the canon cartridges for cheap. I run a printer store and we do the colour for $14.99 and the black for $9.99. HP is worst than Apple as far as engineering their products to fail and not be repairable.

I'm done with my Canon mx490. Its a pain in the butt to get to work for anything. My wife and kids can print from it sometimes, and other times it doesn't want to. Its not asleep because sometimes it will happen right after someone else prints.

So far Canon yet again was the right choice. It looks more difficult than it is. The printer is being used right now in my home office. It took less than 30 minutes to set-up. I did not use the CD but opted to go online and download the software. Working beautifully.
