A step up would be cinema cameras which cost more and are even better, but they are also a lot bulkier

On paper the Canon R3 is one of the absolute best cameras but is quite large for traveling with. It’s probably not quite in stores yet, but hold an R5 and see if you would want anything larger than that. If you want to capture candid snaps of those around you. Best way to purchase R7?

I sniped a Canon R3 right at the first of the year from Canon direct when stores had not fulfilled initial preorders. Best Buy also sometimes will have stock online for a short time. Canon Price Watch is a great place for watching inventory and sometimes deals too.

I purchased the R3 as an upgrade to my 1DX Mark II, which I have historically used to shoot sports. Upon shooting with the R3, the snappy autofocus is immediately apparent. While the 1DX Mark II was no slouch in this category, the R3 finds and locks focus much more quickly resulting in more keepers....
