Cannondale Topstone 1 Review and Why Ride Gravel | BANANAS FOR BIKES
I wanted to steer away from having two stays and bringing that bowl out closer to the spokes. so I went with just the single stay. But I will say these are great for touring

Bought my first gravel bike, itching to get out on it
I managed to get them to upgrade the tires and make it tubeless for no extra cost. They had a Cannondale Topstone 1, and this Specialized Diverge Comp E5 in my size, and I spent a while going back and forth trying them both out. The Cannondale was good but didn't feel quite as comfortable and with the tubeless upgrade it was an easy choice in the end.
Stompf Tavern Road, NJ.
This is a great road outside Stockton, NJ. 8ish% and long. Beautiful creek running next to it. Topstone 1 is such a joy to ride on these roads
Maiden gravel voyage on my Topstone
I also own a Cannondale Topstone and love it. It's great on the trails. Recently bought some bikepacking bags for it and rode to a brewery. Order a flight of beer, picked my favourite and took some cans to enjoy at home. Great Ride.

For most routes, I'd say my spread is 40% road, 50% shoulder of road, and 10% dirt paths. For endurance bikes it seems like my main options are: Trek Domane SL5, Cannondale Synapse 105C, and Cervelo Caledonia 105. And their gravel lineup is: Trek Checkpoint SL5, Niner RLT 4* 2x build, and Cannondale Topstone 1.
Help choosing a light gravel bike (Canyon Grail 7 or something else?)
I actually ended up with the Cannondale Topstone and I absolutely love it. It is a nice, non-flashy (I didn't get the orange) color with perfect geometry for me. The components are quick and quiet and I love how easy the bike is to ride.
New bike! Cannondale Topstone 1 on the trails in Fairfax County, Virginia
Purchased this Topstone 1 a few weeks ago and haven’t had a chance to go on a longer ride until this morning. Had an incredible time today on the southern half of the cross county trail in Fairfax County. Only ate shit once when I somehow became uncoordinated and couldn’t get my shoes unclipped, reached for a log that turned out to be rotted out and my hand went straight through. This is my first drop bar bike, only been riding a hybrid in my adult life.
Canyon Grail 6 or State 6061 Black Label All-Road or Poseidon X
It's been great. Fantastic off-road.

Drop Bar Commuter
I just got a Cannondale Topstone 1 (alloy frame) in October for just this reason. I can definitely recommend it - it feels like a road bike but the geometry is definitely more relaxed has better handling in snow and weather.
So, I was extremely lucky and have found a Specialized Diverge Comp E5 but I’ve also been considering the Cannondale Topstone 1, because it has all the same components. Anyone have any thoughts on these two bikes that could help me with this purchase!? $350 difference!
Was in a similar situation as you earlier this year and went Topstone 1. It rips!! Super responsive.
