As several others have mentioned, it simply doesn't get hot enough. It tops out at 320F (160C) even when turned to the max "190C" on the dial. Verified using several different direct contact thermometers.

For temperature sensitiveness items, this is not a good deep fryer. This does not go up to its advertised temperatures. Could not get it to stay past 320 F.

Does everything you need in small quantities. lost a star because temperatures are only listed in celcius.
