Berkley

Berkley, Shakespear, and a few other companies focus on entry-level combos for a low cost. I find those best for children that are younger with little experience. The rods are more durable and last. Once the child shows a continuing interest and has experience caring for the gear.

I like Berkley. They have done pretty well for me and they are cheaper than Rapalas.

If it slides off tune it up, scratching is almost there. Berkley makes good hooks, they are a bit more expensive but I like them.
