Black Diamond Spark Mitts

I love the Spark mitten. Been skiing in it for a bunch of years now. So working with Black Diamond and the design team, coming up with a fun colorway ...

Black Diamond Mercury Mitts. I got them, then my uncle got them, then my dad got them, and my sister did as well (and she uses them with hot hands since she trends towards raynauds more)

Not at all waterproof. Warm, comfortable, NOT waterproof. Take incredibly long time to dry, even on a forced air, heated boot dryer. If you use these, you will need a pair of spare mitts to use while this pair dries.

I have the hestras with the separated index finger and a pair of black diamond patrol mitts. I use the black diamond for coldest days because the index finger isn't separated.

I currently own the black diamond spark mitts and the black diamond spark Johnny's mitt which has a few more features and I don't think I'll ever buy another type of gloves or mitts. Big fan. I ride in Canada rockies for what it's worth.

If you want to go all out - Black Diamond Mercury Mitts are about the warmest option out there. But they’re pretty bulky.

Big fan of the Black Diamond Jonny Mitts. They're a beefed up version of their spark mitts which I also own. Has a few more bells and whistles but they're super warm but can be worn through the spring as well.

My husband requested these for Christmas. He thought he would like them but the inside of the mitten is more like a glove with individual finger spaces. He feels that when the fingers are separated they won't stay as warm so he asked me to return them.

This is a fairly well designed mitten that I have enjoyed using for area skiing and fast/light long tours.
