I like my Patagonia Torrent. I also really like my Black Diamond Dawn Patrol jacket but it’s only for cold/snowy conditions as it doesn’t claim to be totally waterproof, only water resistant, whatever that is.

This shell is perfect for missions where the weather is dry and the turns will be many. Like the description says, Dawn Patrol Shell is for high-output missions. I personally wouldn't use this for any outing where the weather will be questionably wet.
