Arc'teryx Sentinel AR - Women's vs Black Diamond Dawn Patrol

Tried on the new model and a same labelled size previous model at the same time- new one is definitely a bit bigger size wise which for me meant it looked a bit too baggy and didn’t have its sleek style any more. The old model (large) fit me perfectly with the 3/4 pant insulation underneath. New model belt has elastic in the middle of it which means it doesn’t hold properly anymore so you’ll likely need to buy a separate belt to cinch them in properly. At least it comes with belt loops so you can do this unlike the insulated Arc’teryx pants I have where no matter what I do I can’t get them to stay up

I tried on a L that a friend had and it did fit well. So my tip would be to size down one full size. The cut is definitely not a an athletic type cup, very roomy.

I love the look of these pants and that they have a belt to keep them from popping open when I crunch my stomach. Extremely lightweight and just generously cut enough so I can put whatever layer I want underneath. My only criticism is that the first morning, I wore them I looked down and there was a little slit cut in the thigh pocket. I swear I didn't do anything to them, but I couldn't prove they came that way

Hood is adjustable to not block field of vision. Finally it looks good and fits right to wear with street clothes in business casual (at least until it gets dilapidated from the heavy adventure use mine sees.) Somehow its got a trim fit that also allows layering good enough for lower 48 summits.
