I've thrown every genre at it so far, and haven't found any weak points just yet. They are low impedance and it shows as with the HD560s I would be driving them around 50-60% volume on my DAC/AMP @ 300ohm (I can switch between 300 and 600ohm modes). The 900 Pro X is at about 30% to reach the same volume. They sound perceivably more clear in the high end and more impactful in the low end compared to my previous mains the HD560s.

Their passive soundstage is wide, spacious, and open, although they struggle to create a more out-of-head audio experience.

Okay, so bear with me as I struggle my way through articulating what I'm hearing. I've never been very good at this part, I'm more of the DIY guy!. So, these definitely have that Beyer house sound that you'll be familiar with by now if you've any of their headphones in the past. There's a bit of treble spike, but it's not nearly as intrusive as it is with the 990s or 770s.

This is a decent headphone. It is much easier to drive than its 250 ohm counterparts. It sounds good. But at this price I cannot recommend it when you can buy a dt770 pro and 990 pro together for the same price. The 770 and 990 are lighter, have a much more comfortable headband and earcup clamp, and...

They have great clarity, awesome mids and the out-of-the-box bass profile is good, but they do take EQ quite well. Surround technologies work extremely well on these and offer pinpoint accuracy in imaging without sound artificially inflated in scale. Really nothing to say here other than, to me these are the best, and for being around the $200 mark, they outperform all of the headphones mentioned above in regards to being the most versatile in both music AND gaming. **In conclusion:**.

Those occurence where limited, but can be problematic if you monitor your XLR mic. For streaming/recording, I feel the DT900 Pro X has the edge as it was generally the headphone that was leaking the least.

They sound great when they're working, however both included Mini XLR cables caused static/cutout when wiggled at all.. they were definitely secured as much as they could be.
