 They only make this big cat in the green and personally, I think the green looks pretty good on a reel. You can run larger spinning outfits with the 15, sometimes the 20 pound, but if you're using larger bait running reels, larger round conventional style bait casters, you can use up to the 40 pound if that's what you wish for, but you're of course going to be chasing larger fish with it. Fantastic line. You can pick it up in a lot of places

You'll be able to see this line twitch no problem whatsoever when those catfish are making very, very subtle bites in feeding actions on your bait you have sitting out there.  This is all reliable for me. I use it because it helps me catch fish and it works. It's always been there for me. It hasn't let me down and there's so many different catfish specific lines on the market right now, but for the price, you can't beat this and for the performance, I don't think you could beat it either

I have been fishing this line for Catfish for years because it is the bees knees! The knots hold up extremely well so you can handle large fish with confidence. When fishing around rocks and timber, the abrasion resistant properties are what really sold me on using this as my go-to catfish line. Being solar colored, it is extremely visible when fishing in low light conditions. Give this line a try, and you will enjoy it like I have!

 Howdy folks, it's your friend FishingWithDom and today I'm going to talk to you about my

 favorite monofilament, probably my favorite line when it comes to chasing channel catfish,

 and that is the Berkley Trilene Big Cat Series.

 I'm going to tell you why I really, really dig this line.

 For where I live in the great state of Michigan and where I fish and what I fish for, most

 of the time it's channel catfish, and on average they're under 10 pounds or so, but I catch

 quite a few fish throughout the season that can range up to the 20 pound marker or so,

 and when I'm fishing a monofilament, I'm using Trilene Big Cat.

 Most of the time it's the 15 or the 20 pound test.

 They make it in a 30 and a 40 as well, but I haven't fished that size yet.

 I haven't had the need to fish a large monofilament.

 If I am ever using a catfish line where I'm targeting very, very large fish, I'm fishing

 a braid, but as far as monofilament goes, I run this stuff a lot, and it is the bee's

 It comes in a nice little clamshell style package just like this, a little under $8

 a spool, 300 yards, 270 yards, depending on what line test strength you get, and if you

 Casting and handling, I can bomb this line out into larger rivers with two and three

 Handles very, very well, very limp, doesn't have a lot of memory.

 As long as the rod is suited for a 15 or 20 pound monofilament, go for it.

 If you're going to chase some catfish this year, I highly recommend getting this Berkeley

 Sitting right here on my lap, I've got my Shakespeare Ugly Stick Combo and it is fitted

 I catch all sorts of channel catfish with it.

 Most of the time, the channel cats I'm landing are about seven or eight pounds or so, but

 I will catch a couple early in the season, in the fall also when they really start putting

 the feed bag on and I'm fishing larger rivers.

 I'll catch a few that are pushing 20 pounds or so and the 15, I can cast it very well.

 I have complete faith in this line as far as catfish purposes and it's what I use.

 Another quality catfish line is the Stren Catfish Mono Series.

 Seems like it's the same stuff, only it's orange.

 They only make this big cat in the green and personally, I think the green looks pretty

 I use it because it helps me catch fish and it works.

 It hasn't let me down and there's so many different catfish specific lines on the market

 right now, but for the price, you can't beat this and for the performance, I don't think

 I'm going to have to put other lines to the test, but they would have to be very, very

 impressive to come anywhere near close the Berkley Trilene Big Cat Series.
