This is my M1919, one of the Israeli foreign aid ones set up for 7.62 NATO, but currently set up for 30-06. (Barrel, cartridge stops, etc)

Had a fun "movie gun Friday" at the range, with MP5, Beretta M9, M4, and a few 1911s.

Beretta M9. They’re generally less expensive than a decent 1911, can run double action or single action (1911s are single action only), and 9mm is generally more readily available.

When I guarded embassies we trained with and carried Beretta M9 pistols. There thing is, when you're an embassy guard you're trained to Department of State protection service standards.

While cleaning out the garage I found an old Zima. It made me think about my favorite 90’s pistol that I own. So took the opportunity to snap a picture of a zima and a old classic, the Beretta M9.

Congrats. Btw if youre italian i would automatically assume you carry an m9 beretta but a glock isnt that bad

I know from u/md0718110 ‘s Mk27 video that SOCOM chose the Glock 19 because they couldn’t get the green light from the Army for another full-size pistol (they already had the Beretta M9). Idk about the Sig.

I am a big fan of Beretta 92’s if you can’t tell.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Beretta M9 was the issue sidearm by 1993. . . not that I don't appreciate God's caliber or His chosen sidearm.

Both are reliable. Both are rugged. You can probably bake a SIG in the oven longer and it'll still work, whereas you can probably chuck the Glock in a tarpit and it'll have a higher probability of working than the SIG. Both have passed various high-round-count tests (the P229 is essentially a beefed up P228, which won the consolation prize in the US military trials that eventually yielded the M9 Beretta and M11 SIG).
