Audio-Technica AT-VM95E

The front end has been nicely modernized, and there are now threaded holes, which are greatly appreciated.

It is a phenomenal cartridge, and for £45 you simply cannot go wrong. It is highly recommended.

As I said, it was one hundred and seventeen Canadian free shipping.

It hasn’t and is driving me crazy. I’ve since ordered an AT VM95e to see if there was a problem with the original cartridge or stylus. If I like it I’ll work my way up the VM95 line to the ML eventually.

Barely good enough to keep as a Backup. I have a Pickering XV-15E and had to replace 1200D with a cheaper German stylus so I fingered this should be a little better since I have had a couple of heads already. Set up, balanced it out and it was OK! North worth what paid but good. I'll keep it for now...

The unit shown in the picture was sold as an integrated headshell-cartridge, it is all one unit. You cannot easily install a new cartridge on that headshell. And, there is a replacement stylus available from LP Gear for your Technics Matsushita EPC-271CES at $80 USD, which is only $10 more than the Audio-Technica AT-VM95E, but you won't have to buy a new headshell for it, so your cost would be less.

Just arrived today and found there no screws in the box and the screw (nut combination) from the existing cartridge does not fit. Currently it has the AT-VM95E. I may upgrade to the VM95ML when it's time. I'm pretty happy with it. I started with an Audio Technica LP60X, so this is a substantial step up.
