While the contrast on the VG249Q isn't that great, it's still decent for an IPS. On the other hand I heard, that the VG249Q has a better overdrive mode, suited for all refresh rates, which results in even less ghosting.

My monitor is Asus VG249Q (1080P, 144Hz)...It isn't "G-sync compatible" certified...When I turn G-sync on, brightness flickers almost in every games...I used CRU and changed freesync range from 48-144 to 90-142 and it removes flickering...
