I don't think I would do it differently if I went to uni again today, I probably wouldn't even bother with a laptop. I'm sure the iPad Pro is night and day compared to Nexus 7, but I still don't think it's as quick and flexible as paper during classes, and it's a pretty expensive notebook replacement.
