 However, I will say, if you're a big slider on hard court, do not get the clay version. You can pretty much do anything with them. 14.52 seconds on the suicide test, one of my fastest times recently, I think the biggest reason for that is number one, the treads just grip so incredibly well, number two, the shoe is so aerodynamic and light

 If you're a baseline grinder, you'll love the stability and light of footness of these shoes. If you're somebody that likes to hit big shots and really set up and stable for that serve plus one, you're going to find a lot of stability in these. The Asics Solution Speed FF 2 is the latest speed and stability focused tennis shoe for 2021 with a caged and streamlined upper and thick stack midsole with aerodynamic mold but will it hold up in the signature tennis shoe performance review featuring the Tennis Pro Doc playtest, serve test, infrared test, durability test, teardown and suicide test?

As a foot doctor I look at tennis shoes and tennis shoe technology a bit differently as I focus more on what foot types benefit from these shoes as well as the tennis shoe's functional attributes on the tennis court

 I would like it to maybe be just a tad thicker, and I think maybe this shoe would have a little bit more stability laterally. The last is inflared with a pretty shallow lateral flange, which really decreases the lateral stability in these, which is why I didn't feel as confident moving side-to-side on the Kord in them. Durability tests on the outsole, 10 seconds high-script sandpaper, showed only 1 millimeter of damage, exactly the same as the Gel Resolution 8 and the Kord FF2, which is no surprise with the AHA rubber compound it's made of. The A6 Solution Speed FF really sits in between two categories, where it's light but not breathable, and durable but not stable

 Tread thickness on these is 5 millimeters. The one piece of engineering on this shoe that I really do admire is the truss stick system. This plastic outsole-based shank goes all the way from medial to lateral with these two wings that go up the medial side and the lateral side. Now, if the shoe has any stability for your foot, it's coming from this truss stick system

Don't Buy The Asics Solution Speed FF BEFORE Watching ...

5 normal to narrow width. I often purchase a 10 in athletic shoes. These in a 10 are super snug, too narrow, my laces are as loose as I can get them. My heel still wants to lift a bit

 We found that ASICS has completely fixed that, and they've done that by updating the upper. So the upper on this shoe is super flexible, the material fits so well to your foot. We found with that previous one, it just seemed like there was a little bit of material on the edge bunching up, but with this new upper, you can see the web design. It's going to fit your feet really well, super dynamic, fits just the same as the previous version, but this shoe molds to your feet even better

 I mean, the shoe has always been comfortable, but we're obsessed with this update. Then another point of distinction in this shoe is the outsole pattern. So ASICS has updated that the outsole is even more dynamic. It's got really intentional grooves

 Now ASICS has also updated the lacing system, so you're able to get a better dynamic fit, really lock your feet in there. And we found that it's just so comfortable. I mean, the shoe has always been comfortable, but we're obsessed with this update. Then another point of distinction in this shoe is the outsole pattern

Take a Closer Look at the New Asics Solution Speed FF 2 ...

I'm generally a fan of Asics shoes for walking/running, but these are really tight. I like how they look and they offer good support for tennis, but are really tight. If you have even slightly wider feet, beware!

 This tennis shoe review was with the Black Superfeet insole, and I have a very flat arch on my foot, and my shoe size is men's 9.5. As always guys, happy hitting.

 I'm glad to report that right out of the box, the FF2 had none. The very first hitting session with these shoes gave me zero foot pain and zero discomfort. You can definitely tell that the material that ASICS put into these shoes are significantly softer than what they put in the Gel Resolution 8. And weighing in at only 11

 I do definitely appreciate the more subtle approach that the designers at ASICS have continued to keep up with, so ASICS, love it. I have an expectation that all non-durability guaranteed shoes have zero break-in period FF. I'm glad to report that right out of the box, the FF2 had none. The very first hitting session with these shoes gave me zero foot pain and zero discomfort

The definitive Asics Solution Speed FF 2 Tennis Shoe Review

 They are indeed super tight / narrow so it’s just not worth the discomfort. I’m heartbroken because they are perfect otherwise.

Super Tight!

 It gives me so much confidence when moving aggressively, especially when I'm moving out. It gives me a little bit of give, but then there's all that grab for when I'm recovering quickly. I've been to Japan and met the ASICS engineers and they put a lot of research into the design of the tread pattern. And each direction of the tread is there for a reason and this shoe really works out in the court
