The Art Leon Mid-Century Modern Swivel crosses the boundary between accent chair and desk chair with grace. For tight spaces, the swivel function is a wonderful addition to this elegant piece. The four-legged natural wood base connects to a metal swivel mechanism that is fluid and stable; just enough padding in the seat bottom kept our testers comfortable without sinking into an overfilled cushion. The distressed suede finish looks excellent and hides everyday wear with ease. The height of the seat cushion accommodates use as an office chair quite well. At 18.5 inches, it was one of the higher seats we tested. It was also one of the narrower seats at 16 inches, but with flared armrests in a barrel design that subtly widen. The same low armrests fit neatly under most standard desk heights. 
We found the Art Leon to do great in an attentive upright seating position but to lack support and cushion for more relaxed, casual use. We recommend some of the other chairs in this review over the Art Leon for lounge use where comfort is key. Over an extended period, our testers felt the seating was substantial and lamented the lack of a more robust backrest. That being said, the Art Leon encourages sitting up straight, and the swivel will be appreciated by those that like to shift their position regularly. We found the distressed suede finish attractive and appropriate to the overall design but found that the chair needs to "off-gas" its factory smell. If you are particularly sensitive to smell, perhaps select one of the polyester/cotton color choices and not the suede version.

 I needed seating for my small living room. These arrived on time, were easy to assemble, inexpensive and in my opinion look very nice. They are comfortable too. I've only had them a few weeks so not sure how durable, but they feel sturdy

 The seat isn't very cushy and doesn't offer much lumbar support so using it as a desk chair without extra padding isn't going to work for me so I will catch an after summer sale at Lowe's and buy a thinner outdoor-seating cushion. If that doesn't work, it will become a decorative chair in the guest bedroom. This is a classic case of you get what you pay for on Amazon.

  QUALITY: This chair seems to be really good quality for the price. The legs appear to be real wood, and there are no inconsistencies or blemishes in the fabric. However, sometimes I do hear a noise that sounds like the fabric glue is coming apart when I’m sitting in it? I can never see any damage, but it does seem like the fabric is starting to sag in some spots already. I am a little worried about long-term use, but after 3 weeks of daily use, it still looks great

 I’m pretty sure the legs are real wood! I spent a LONG time trying to find a chair for my desk. I wanted something cute and comfortable because I work from home and sit at my desk all day. There is some sagging in the fabric after 3 weeks of daily use, so I am uncertain of how long it will look nice, but overall I am pleased.  DELIVERY: I ordered this chair on May 20th and received it on the 28th! It came in great condition with no issues

After 3 Weeks of Daily Use, Still Pleased

 I don't have to pull up the chair nearly as much as a regular chair.  Lastly, and one of the chief reasons I bought it, is the mid-century modern aesthetic. The distressed brown leather color on the outside goes along great with the more polished gray color on the inside. The brown also goes great with my adjacent brown leather couches, and the overall look compliments a natural-edge wood desk for which it pairs

  It has nice cushioning, good lower back support, some mid to upper back support, and is a nice distance from the ground for taller people. The only thing about comfort, is I wouldn't call it all-day comfort. If you're working from home, it might start to feel a bit rigid after an hour or so. That's what happened to me

 In fact my cushioned dining room chair is actually better in this regard. So if you're looking for shorter duration use, this chair is for you. It is plenty comfortable for that. And the lighter you are, the better it probably is ;)  The legs are sturdy, and the fact they don't have wheels is a plus because you can place the chair onto a hard-wood or linoleum surface without need to buy a mat

Comfort and style

 Initially I was very impressed with how well made the actual chair portion is. I still am, but I did find a thread already coming out of the stitching near the seat, which has me nervous, but we will see.  Overall: I am happy with my purchase and would recommend the chair to others.
