 It's pretty small and it looks really well made as most Anker products are and it's quite lightweight. I think it's even more lightweight than the plastic one even though this one's made of plastic and this one's made of aluminum I believe especially because it's so much smaller and I was actually really happy with this one. I just ordered this one because this one as you can see it pokes out quite a bit more out of the car and I believe this one's going to fit in more car models. So if you have a struggle fitting one of those into your car this one might be the one for you

 Here's a two euro coin in comparison and then here we've got a packet of tissues and a stapler and yeah some air pods. I think you get the gist. It's pretty small and it looks really well made as most Anker products are and it's quite lightweight.  So yeah that's my first basic unboxing. I'm going to go install it in my car now and then I'll use it for a week or so and see how it holds up. Okay so here we are in my car. I drive a 2012 BMW 3 Series and as you can see down here I've currently got the Power Drive Elite 2 plugged in and it's really doing just fine and I've got an Anker PowerCore Plus 2 or PowerLine Plus I don't know the naming is weird but it's a great cable

 So I'm going to start off just by unboxing this and having a look what's inside. I'm just going to peel this off and pull this out. Anker is usually very good with packaging so it's always hassle free and pretty nice. We got a little booklet here and the Power Drive 2 alloy itself

 I tried it with a couple different cords, different outlets in my car and no change. Contacted Anker support since it says you can return for any reason within 30 days. They told me I had to try it in another car with another device. I don't know how this will help my situation because I need it to work in my car with my device

 If you use an AV cable to listen to anything in your car this charger is not for you and you should get the newer version. I changed my review from 1 star to 3 due to the good customer service I received and because this charger will work as long as you don't use an AV cable.

 I was able to test this first charger in another car but didn't have the ability to test it again with an AV cable. So if you are using this charger without connecting to your music using an AV cable it seems fine. If you use an AV cable to listen to anything in your car this charger is not for you and you should get the newer version.  All right, so here we have the Anker Power Drive Alloy 2 plugged in and we have two cables right now plugged into the device and we're going to test it out to see when it actually works and that. So we're going to plug in the first one onto my iPhone. All right, so the first iPhone works. Next we're going to plug in the second cable onto the other iPhone

 Like look at this thing. I think out of all the car chargers I've ever tested or have in the past, none of them are as small as this. This is like literally so compact. It's like ridiculous

And if you guys remember or watched a lot of my videos, you guys know that I test many, many products that are by this brand Anchor, such as speakers, headphones, and etc. So this time I have a new product that they're actually selling that's called a Power Drive 2 alloy, which is for the car charger

 And the material that they use inside are premium gold plated coil. So pretty much what that means is that it uses less heat, more efficient, and it uses low resistance, which is really, really important when you guys are actually using car chargers to actually charge a product. So with all that being said and actually testing out the product, now to answer the question of whether or not it's actually worth it or not. So this product in particular costs around $14 or $15, and for that price range would I say that's actually worth it or not

  My solution to this problem is this RAVPower charger:USB Car Charger RAVPower 24W 4.8A Metal Dual Car Adapter for S9 / S8 / S7 / S6 / Edge / Plus, Note 5 / 4 , LG, Nexus, HTC with iSmart 2.0 Tech - Black Even though the RAVPower is shorter, its pointed nose allows a reliable contact to be made in my two Mazdas described above. I expect it will work in the CX-9, too

4 amp charge current from each USB jack. I recommend a high quality USB charging cable to take advantage of all these units can deliver.  The subtle difference is this. My 2017 CX-5 has two accessory sockets, one on the dash and one inside the storage compartment between the two front seats

Nice Charger Not Compatible with Some Late Model Mazda Vehicles

 I wish I actually could show you guys, but I can't unfortunately. I'm just gonna unbox it right now Yeah, pretty straightforward hard drive to alloy model a 2727 came pretty quickly with Amazon And there's not much to it, but Yeah, I didn't even realize this was alloy. I didn't read the description when I bought it pretty straightforward packaging Anchor's usual happy question little Brochure they add with Everything every time anchors customer service has always been really good for me. I had a I had a battery pack that actually started Kind of getting a small bump in it, which was a little terrifying it works fine funny enough But it's kind of old too, and I contacted them and they literally just took a look at it And they literally just took care of me, and I couldn't believe it so Yeah great company Yeah, that's a pretty straightforward

 There's two ports, and then I believe it does split the power That 4.8 amps on the sim it's 2.4 per port And that's just a joke Nicely wrapped and This has a very premium feel I know it's just a power plug for a cigarette lighter Man like I don't really know how to tell you guys this, but I wish I had better lighting But they feel very very premium. It's like you pick this up, and you're just like okay you know it's not junk at all as a Everything like moves very smoothly like I've had other power ports where basically all the metal pieces feel like Just everything felt really junky like you can use easily break it I feel like I can just drop this thing a million times and it still function obviously not smash it or anything, but as you can see it shows the power IQ right there and Then it's two USB ports

Great Charger/USB Power Source

 I'm also a fan of the carbon fiber exterior. The charger can come in handy if you have kids in the back seat who need to charge their tablets while watching movies. There's no charging cables included, but I'll include a link below to some of Anker's heavy-duty 10-foot cables. So overall, the Anker Power Drive 2 Elite allows me to charge my extra devices at full speed, and it also allows my friends to charge their devices without messing up the music playing from my phone

 After almost two hours it was just over 50% charge, what I didn't like was the back of my phone got really hot, which has never happened before while charging; whether it is being charged with the charger it came with, (USB cord / wall charger) or the wireless Samsung charger. The phone got really hot, I unplugged it immediately, I didn't let it get to a full charge. So my review is.

 They asked for me to submit the serial number of the possible defective unit so they could further investigate the issue. They didn't want the unit returned, just the serial number. Update : Is Anker Powerdrive 2 Mini Car Charger Still Worth it?

  I had written back to Anker about it and they didn't offer a fix, so I've been struggling with it for a while now. Now I'm fed up and plan to replace it with a different brand that I haven't had a problem with USB cables fitting loosely.

 I've had cables bounce out over rough roads. The sockets just don't hold cables as well as other brands.
