 I have the unit supporting my modem, router and fileserver. This is a fairly modest draw. I unplugged the input for a minute, the unit beeped as designed to let me know it was on battery, everything kept running, and it switched back to AC input power when reconnected. I believe this may still be an issue if the battery is fully exhausted, but it seems to not be an issue for momentary interruptions, which is why I bought it
